Classroom Assessment is a joint process that involves both teachers and learners. It is an integral part of teaching and learning. Teachers provide appropriate assessment when they aim to holistically measure learners’ current and developing abilities while enabling them to take responsibility in the process.
Training at New Dawn March 4-7, 2024
In an effort to enhance the quality of assessments, the Division of Lanao del Sur-1 under the leadership of the visionary Schools Division Superintendent Sahanee Macarampat-Sumagayan, PhD thru its Division Assessment Supervisor Sarife P. Abbas, PhD initiated a workshop on Enhancing Quality Test-Item Construction of the Division Learning Delivery Needs Assessment (DLDNA) on September 19, 2023 at the Division Learning Resource Center, Marawi City.
The workshop aimed to (1) train new poll of assessors for test-item construction; (2) provide quality DLDNA assessment to LDS-1 learners; and (3) write and submit DLDNA Test Questions.
Supporting this undertaking were a group of distinguished educators who served as lecturers during the workshop. These included Division Filipino Coordinator Maam Amal U. Matumadi, MAED, Assistant Principal of Datu Mamintal ASrMNHS Asnawi Raki-in, JD, ACA President Rayhanah Salong, and Science specialist Samera Macabaas. Further, selected teachers were chosen from each municipality to take part in the construction of test questionnaire.
The profound impact of this workshop will significantly provide promising end goal – the goal of offering assessments that authentically mirror the abilities and knowledge of our learners.
