The Division of Lanao Del Sur-I is deeply saddened and unequivocally condemns the recent bombing that took place at Mindanao State University. This heinous act, resulting in loss of lives and injuring many, is an affront to the values of peace, education, and the sanctity of human life.
Mindanao State University has long been a symbol of hope, progress, and unity for the people of the region. It serves as an academic haven, fostering the growth of knowledge and understanding among its diverse student body. The brutal attack on this institution is an attack on the very foundations of education and communal harmony.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims who lost their loved ones in this senseless act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured, hoping for their swift recovery, and we stand in solidarity with the entire MSU community during this difficult time.
Such acts of terrorism not only cause immediate harm but also leave lasting scars on the collective psyche of a community. The Division of Lanao Del Sur-I stands united against any form of violence that threatens the safety and well-being of our citizens.
In the face of adversity, we call upon all stakeholders, including government agencies, law enforcement, and the broader community, to collaborate in bringing the perpetrators of this cowardly act to justice. It is imperative that those responsible for this tragedy be held accountable for their actions.
As we condemn this act of violence, let us reaffirm our commitment to peace, tolerance, and the pursuit of knowledge. Now, more than ever, we must come together to rebuild not just the physical structures damaged in the attack but also the sense of security and trust within our communities.
